Abstract
In the Song Dynasy under the esthetic principles of painting with poetry, the painting of scholars attempts to take the poetic conception in it, especially in the painting of Chinese ink bamboos. This context tends to analy the esthetic conciousness of Chinese scholars.
Before the discussion, we could measure the status
of bamboos in Chinese scholsrs' minds . Then we continue to explore its
expression in paintings and poetry. From some books, the bambooms originate
from the concrete object to symbolic sign. Thus we could find that Chinese
scholars use them in their works to represent the good virtues and show their
own minds at the same time. Huang Ting-Jian who had done a lot of works about
bamboos had a great influence on the Wen-Tong bamboom school. He agreed on the
insistence of that school and stressed to express the truth with the object.
To sum up , his poetry for bamboo paintings reveals
more his esthetic conciousness of poetic conception. This context tries to
share his thinking in the terms of (1) mimic, vivid and free strokes;(2)the
relation between paintings and poetry,(3)the relation between paintings and
calligraphy.
