Abstract
Carelessness and indulgence are always highly

the official career and Confucian doctrine while indulgence means
self-indulgent, which is different from the word "the careless, the

It's the same meaning that the authors in Song Dynasty were inclined to
saying themselves careless and indulgent. This mood showed in careless of
official life and preferable to being away from it, enjoyed themselves in

short, they were in pursuit of freedom and aesthetic taste of life, which is
away from the official career.
Key words: carelessness, indulgence, tradition, the authors in Song
Dynasty mood.
